What is the aim of this course?
The Level 2 Award in Door Supervision is a programme designed to meet the needs of learners who require a qualification which will enable them to apply for a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence for door supervisors. The qualification is based on the SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications (2009), which covers the necessary understanding and skills required by individuals who work to provide a more secure leisure environment.
The SIA Door Supervisor course is run over three or four days and has a credit value of 4
NOTE: If you work as a Door Supervisor without an SIA licence you are liable to a fine and/or prison time. For more information on SIA licensing or the SIA Door Supervisor course please call us for details.

How long is the course?
The course runs over 30 hours with 8 hours of distance learning. We offer courses in the following format;
Weekend course timings (3 Days): 8:30am - 7:30pm
Weekday course timings (4 Days): 9:00am - 6:00pm

Does the course include Physical Intervention?
Yes, this course includes the New PI Module.
Q:
How many exams are there in total?
There are four exams in total, one for each unit and a practical assessment for Physical Intervention.

Do I have to do this course to apply for SIA Licence?
Yes, this course is a mandatory requirement for the SIA Licence.

What happens if I fail the exam?
We offer a free re-sit if you fail the exam.

Yes you can pay using your credit card or debit card on the internet, and over the phone, however we do not accept card payments at the venue.

Can I pay on the day?
Yes, you may pay on the day in cash, however you will not be entitled for the Online Discount.

Is the course cheaper if I book in advance?
Yes, the course costs £25 cheaper if you book and pay online atleast 4 weeks in advance.

When will I receive my result?
Results are available Online after 10 working days.
Q:
When will I receive my certificate?
Certficates are dispachted 4 - 6 weeks after successful course completion by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
Q:
Do I need my certificate to apply for SIA Licence?
No, you do not need your certificate to apply for SIA Licence. You can apply for SIA Licence as soon as you have your result.
Q:
What do you mean by distance learning?
Once you book the course, a workbook will be sent out along with other training materials, you will be required to complete the workbook before the start of the course.
