For the price I paid for my sia courses: ds and cctv, the service was more than good. I booked two courses over the phone so they gave me a discount of 50% on one of the courses. Training was good but long days on both the courses. I really satisfied with my sia results.
However I was not told that I would have to travel to west london for the cctv course as I did my ds course in central london.
Mr Anthony Milner Samples was brilliant. He gave examples from the real life incidents which proved to be more effective and intrusting then the actual course material. His knowledge, experience, skills, interest and commitment were above the sky. I would recommend to all my friends to book the course to have the opportunity to get trained and get the best sia results.
Just got my sia results for my Door Supervisor course. Passed without any problems and got the resutls quickly. The course was very good for the money. Four days felt like a long time, I thought the course could have been covered quicker but it was definitely thorough. Our trainer was very good and very entertaining with lots of funny stories from his experiences on the door. Would recommend.
The course was verry interesting.i wasint boord or nothing at all
The Anthony our teacher was verry friendly and well experienced.Everything was well organised
.Id like theory and phisical intervention trening as well.
i enjoyed verry much and waiting for my sia results.
I booked for my DS course late December and was told on the phone when I booked it that I would be able to use my Birth Certificate and proof of address as my form of ID. When I arrived at the course on the 2nd of Jan in Manchester, the Tutor informed me that I couldn't use this and would have to go away and re-book for a later date when I had my photo ID. After delays from the DVLA I finally received my ID but it took me over 3 weeks to actually get through to the booking line to re-book. I left numerous messages with the switch board with my name and number and waited for someone to get back to me which never happened. Eventually I was able to get through and re-book the course 6 months later than I initially booked it. When I got the the course the venue wasn't great, but Chris Farrell the instructor was fantastic. 3 days for all we had to do was a bit to much for me personally but the way that Chris presented the course was great, he was able to answer every question we threw at him over the 3 days and spoke clearly so everyone could hear him. When it came to the exams this is where the venue let down the course. After we completed the exams we had to go out and sit in the stairwell while waiting for others to finish, due to some of the people on the course not being as fast as other we had to sit out there for a reasonable amount of time and all in all it was a fire hazard. 15 people sitting in the star well on the 4th floor of a building really isn't good. On the 3rd day Markus Gentels came in to do the PI section of the course with Chris and presented it very well. The methods of using the different holds and how to handle certain situations was fantastic. I would recommend Get Licensed to anyone that is wanting to do their Door Supervisor course. I can't comment for the other courses as all I did was my DS and First aid and Physical Intervention courses but on a whole it was a great course.
I defo! recommend Get Licensed to any person wishing and wanting to get into the security industry. I found the website easy to follow from start through to sitting my tests. My location was great in terms of food/drink shops and transport. When i was on the course i found my tutor to be very friendly and easy going from the start which helped me relax and settle right in. My tutor was very helpful and approachable with any questions and enquires which i had about security which i found very useful and now, im hopefully waiting for my results. My opinion on the price of my course would be between budget/average.
I initially paid for the Security Guard training course with Get Licensed, but while on the course I was offered to upgrade Door Supervisors Course and add First Aid training for a cut price, which was too good to turn down. I enjoyed the whole experience, especially the teaching style. The teacher instructor combined humour with professionalism, it's a shame I cant remember his name, think it was Tom Well anyway he was very insightful and had some interesting stories to tell. All an all it was good sia results for money and wouldn't say no to doing another with them.
Ok I promised Joe I would write an honest feedback about my experience on this website. Well what can I say? Let me start from the beginning. I called them up at their 0845 number and waited for ages to be answered. Then I was told the earliest courses were fully booked but a guy named Guled promised me he would book me if he has any cancellations. Luckily I did got a call the next day and I paid up because Guled offered me a hefty discount if I paid in advance.
The course itself was fantastic. I mean I thought I would have to go through 3 boring days but instead this course was very interesting and even though the hours were long our trainer Mr Joe Daily made them informative and precise. But I have to say a few things were just common sense and shouldnt be a part of the course.
Over all I will say my experience with Get licensed has been 8/10, if I pass (my sia results are pending) then I will say 9/10. Shane
