You&#8217;re participating in <em>ghish<\/em> (fraud) \u2013 misrepresenting your qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-greater-harm-to-society\">The Greater Harm to Society<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Islam emphasises our responsibility to society (maslaha). Security work directly impacts public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you take shortcuts in SIA training, you&#8217;re:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Putting the public at risk through your lack of proper training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undermining trust in Muslim security professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to stereotypes about corner-cutting and fraud<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Harming the reputation of your community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quran reminds us: <em>&#8220;And do not cause corruption on the earth after it has been set in order.&#8221; (7:56)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-scholars-are-unanimous\">The Scholars Are Unanimous<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I consulted several Islamic scholars on this specific issue. Their verdict was unanimous: Obtaining an SIA licence through malpractice falls under multiple prohibited categories in Islamic law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It involves lying and deception (haram)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It breaks the law of the land (haram)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It endangers public safety (haram)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It brings disgrace to the Muslim community (haram)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-money-you-earn-is-tainted-0\">The Money You Earn Is Tainted<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people don&#8217;t consider that every pound you earn with that fraudulent licence becomes questionable income in Islamic terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prophet (PBUH) warned about the person who &#8220;feeds himself with haram&#8221; and stated that Allah does not accept the supplication of someone who consumes haram earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about that. Would you proudly explain the process to your children as an example to follow?
