While a black and white TV licence costs \u00a352. A TV Licence has to be renewed every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-i-need-a-tv-licence-for-netflix\">Do I need a TV Licence for Netflix?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you only watch shows through streaming services like Netflix, then you do not need a TV licence. This means you can binge-watch an entire series without the need for a TV Licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you should be cautious. The moment you watch any form of live TV, this includes watching from your TV, phone, laptop or tablet, you could face a fine of \u00a31,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This also includes watching catch-up programmes on BBC iPlayer, or even recording live television and not watching it until after it has been broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-is-it-worth-it\">Is it worth it?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is entirely up to you. While many of us do stream shows via Netflix and Amazon, not being able to watch any form of live television will limit your choice of what to watch. Also, you risk the chance of accidentally watching something live and face the risk of a hefty fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To Netflix and Chill or to watch Love Island, with a TV Licence, you can do both.
