Job description

You will ensure the safety and security of people, premises and property.

Job role located in the Harrogate district area

Working days (including some weekends) candidate must be flexible.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Assisting the HCC Operations Team
• Managing Delivery Access / Egress for the Events Team
• Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instruction
• Have the ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations
• Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to
• In addition to these functions employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required
• Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas

Requirements:

• Frontline Security Guarding or Door Supervision SIA licence
• Full UK driving licence
• Have the knowledge and physical ability to use fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment
• Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history; including full company names, addresses and landline contact numbers.
• Clear communication both written and verbal
• Must be punctual and have the ability to perform under pressure when needed
• Smart, well-groomed and confident.
• A commitment to providing first class customer service is essential
• Security procedure knowledge
• Telephone/basic computer skills
• The ability to act in a decision-making capacity
