There are several trains you can take to travel to your course in London-Lewisham, and they run from all over the UK:

If you are arriving at Blackheath, the train station is very close to the venue—only a 5 minutes walk via Blackheath Village and Montpelier Row.
Or, you can use the Lewisham, but you'll first need to take the Southeastern train from the station to Blackheath for 2 minutes. Then walk for 5 minutes also via Blackheath Village and Montpelier Row.
With the Lewisham Light Rail, the quickest route is by taking a number 89 bus at the station to Montpelier Row. From here, it's only a 2 minutes walk via Montpelier Row, and you're at your destination.
If you're going to drive to the venue, you should note that The Clarendon front car park has space for 35 cars and 15 at the rear car park. So while parking is free, the spots can become limited when the hotel is busy. If you find the car park full, there are several nearby options, but you should prepare to pay a parking fee of around £4 per 2 hours.

Those within the venue are lucky because it's very accessible by foot, with a walkability score of 88 out of 100. So if you're in the area, you can run most daily errands or visit nearby parks like Blackheath and Greenwich Park, without having to use a car.
Going back and forth when attending the course can be a hassle, especially when you come from a distance. A reasonably priced hotel like Travelodge, The Birds Nest, or New Cross Inn might be an option. The good thing is that they're nearby the hotel, generally around a 30 minutes bus ride away. Or you can stay right in The Clarendon and enjoy excellent room service and free WiFi, but at a higher cost. It all depends on your budget. Here are other places you can stay while attending your course.
When you get the opportunity to grab a bite, there are dozens of café you can choose from all over London-Lewisham. Located about 13 minutes away from the venue, you'll find Café Inn. Here, you can pick from classic breakfast meals like eggs and bacon, all the way to cold drinks like Redbull and desserts.
Another conveniently close choice is the Moca Café, located at 10 Old Dover Rd, London SE3 7BT, an 8 minutes bus ride away. They serve an extensive menu, ranging from pastries, sandwiches, coffee, but they're mainly famous for their Italian dishes. You can order online and takeaway or dine in.
SIA Job Opportunities In London-Lewisham
In a place as busy as London-Lewisham, there're many job opportunities for SIA licence holders. You can work in large shopping centres like Churchill Place, Westfield, Kings Walk, and Camden. Or, there are always door personnel in demand at the many pubs and clubs in the evening.
