In celebration of International Women’s Day, Get Licensed proudly launched full SIA training and licensing scholarships for women in March. The winners were finalised this week, and four deserving women have been awarded free security training as part of the company’s mission to promote gender diversity and equal opportunity in the security industry.

Through the “Free Security Training for Women” initiative, Get Licensed is removing financial and social barriers for women looking to enter the security sector. This year’s winners – Ramala K, Danuta K, Demi F, and Niquae D – were announced on April 28th. Following the announcement, they are set to receive fully funded SIA-approved training courses, complete coverage of their licence fees, and dedicated career support.

“Security is a career that offers flexibility, career growth, and empowerment,” said Shahzad Ali, Founder and CEO at Get Licensed. “We’re committed to making that accessible to everyone, and that starts with women who are often underrepresented in this space.”

The SIA training scholarship programme is part of a wider campaign by Get Licensed to address gender inequality in the security workforce, where women currently make up just a small fraction of licensed professionals. The initiative helps open doors for women by eliminating financial hurdles. It also provides them with expert-led training, confidence-building resources, and practical pathways to employment.

      The recipients will benefit from:

      • Free accredited security training
      • Full coverage of their SIA licence costs
      • Free mock exams and learning material
      • Ongoing support with job placements
      Book your SIA training course

Each of the winners was selected for their inspiring motivation to break into a new career and their commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

This initiative reflects Get Licensed’s ongoing dedication to empowering underrepresented groups through education and opportunity. As part of this commitment, we’re continuing to offer more inclusive training opportunities throughout the year.
