Getting to Your Training Venue in London - Wood Green

Train
The training venue in Wood Green is accessible via convenient train stations near it. If you're headed to the venue, we recommend these options:

Alexandra Palace Train Station
London N22 7SS, United Kingdom

Wood Green Subway Station is only a 10 minute walk from the training venue. From the station, walk to the left and go straight High Road for half a mile until you reach Earlham Grove Street, where you’ll see the venue to the right of this street. 

Another nearby train station is Alexandra Palace Train Station, just a kilometre away where it takes about 12 minutes to reach the training venue on foot. From the station, head southeast toward St Michael's Terrace road until you reach New River Path. Walk along New River Path and turn right toward Commerce Rd. Go straight for 0.7 miles until High Rd/A105 and turn left onto this road. After 100 yards turn right onto Earlham Grove where you'll find the training venue on the right. 

Parking
The parking on-site or at the front of the building is for permit holders only from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. After 1 p.m, you can freely park on the same street as the venue but it’s quite limited. There's also a free parking space beside the venue building. On busy days, you can park at several car parks that are only around a 15-minute walk away from the venue.

Walkability
Earlham Grove, Wood Green is a very walkable location. It has a walk score of 85 out of 100. In the area, you can easily visit restaurants, grab groceries and get to shopping centres within walking distance. 

Accommodation
On the same main road as the training venue, there are a few hotels that are affordable and only a short walk to the venue. Along High Rd. A105, you can choose from these three hotels: Travelodge London Wood Green, Forest House Hotel, and Green Rooms. These hotels are budget-friendly and have a 4 out of 5-star customer rating. Food 
As a very walkable area, you can look forward to several restaurants and shops nearby. Before attending the training course, Purple Cafe & Restaurant is a great place for a full breakfast and coffee or tea. It's only a 2-minute walk from the training venue. 

For more places to eat, head out to the shopping centres such as The Market Mall and The Mall Wood Green, which are only 15 minutes away on foot. There you'll find great places to eat and drink including Mooboo for the best bubble tea and Costa Coffee for hot drinks and snacks. 

Along High Rd you’ll find several lunchtime options like Deep Sea Fish & Chips serving classic British meals and Ye-De-Doy for a taste of kebab. If you are staying and eating in the evening, then why not try the Paramount Tandoori located at High Rd, just 2 minutes away by car. 

SIA Job Opportunities in London - Wood Green
For SIA license holders, you could land potential jobs at shopping centres such as The Market Mall and The Mall Wood Green, as well as North Middlesex University Hospital. There’s always demand for security staff for the many sports and entertainment events held at the local Alexandra Palace. In addition, Wood Green is lively in the evening and door personnel are always needed to protect the public.
