The SIA Door Supervisor course runs over 6 days and is divided into 4 units: Working in the Private Security Industry, Working as a Door Supervisor, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention. On the final day of the course there will be 4 multiple choice exams and a practical assessment of the physical intervention skills you will be taught on the course.

Getting to your training venue in Brighton

Train
If you are looking to travel to your door supervisor course in Brighton by train, you’re in luck! We highly recommend travelling to the Hove station as this is less than a 5 minute walk to our venue. If this is not easily accessible to you, there are a few other stations located in your area:

Parking
If you are thinking of travelling to your course by car and parking near the venue there are two main options we would suggest. Firstly and slightly closer to the venue, you could park at the Hove train station and walk to the venue from there. This will cost around £5.80 per day and is only a 6 minute walk to your course. 
Or, if you don't mind parking a little further away, you can park at the Greyhound stadium for free and walk to our venue, taking around 15 minutes. 

Walkability
Bristol is a fantastic city to explore, and with our venue being very central, if you are local then walking to the venue could be a great option. With a walk score of 100/100,  it is easy to get around Bristol by foot once you are in the area also without worrying about finding transportation. Therefore if you are within walking distance of the city centre, or have easy access to public transportation to get you nearby, you should have no problems walking to our venue! Just make sure you plan your route and leave plenty of time to get there. 

 

Accommodation
If you’re travelling quite far and would like to stay somewhere close to the venue whilst you train for your door supervisors license, there are a whole host of hotels available to book from. The cheapest option is most likely the Travelodge Brighton which is around a 25 minute walk from our venue. Or if you want a local B&B, brighton has an abundance of little guest houses and hotels close all within walking distance of our course venue. Most hotels in Brighton will include facilities like WIFI, Parking, Breakfast, and many more.

 

Food
Brighton offers a variety of food shops if you are hungry so there is no need to worry about finding somewhere to eat. Brighton has very popular restaurants and café across the city. With a Tesco superstore less than ten minutes away, if you’re after a cheap meal deal or some snacks to keep you going this is the perfect place. There are also lots of independent cafes and snack bars you can try. You won't be disappointed with Coffeetzar, with an incredible coffee and sandwich selection, it's easy to see why it has a 5 star rating from their customers. You can find the café on 97 Trafalgar Street, Brighton BN1 4ER. 
If after your course you need to run some errands or fancy doing some shopping, then make sure to check out, Churchill Square Shopping Centre. It’s one of the shopping centres well known in the city with a wide range of shops and can be found in Russell Place, BN1 2RG.

 

SIA Job Opportunities in Brighton
Brighton is known for its busy city with a variety of food and drink outlets, shops, and clubs. This means there’s loads of potential to find work once you have got your SIA Door Supervisors licence. Once you are qualified, you can apply for work in the likes of Churchill Square Shopping Centre, Brighton Station, Brighton Box park and for many of the pubs and clubs within the area.
