If you would like to work as a Security Guard in the UK, then this course is for you. When you complete this course, you will be able to apply for Security Guard roles in the Security Industry. It is important to be aware that with this qualification you will not be allowed to work as a Door Supervisor because physical intervention is not taught on this course.

The aim of this course is achieve a Level 2 Award in Security Guarding. When you have gained this, you will be eligible to apply for a Security Guard SIA licence. To work as an SIA Door Supervisor or an SIA Security Guard in the UK you must hold a valid SIA licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

This Security Guard course is for new entrants into the Security Industry who are looking to gain employment as Security Guards in premises such a shopping centres, retail centres and airports. You must successfully complete this course to be able to apply for an SIA licence in Security Guarding.

This SIA recognised Level 2 Award for Security Guarding will enable you to apply for an SIA Security Guard licence. By obtaining this licence, you will increase your employment opportunities.

Qualified Door Supervisors can legally work in all of the same roles as Security Guards. In addition, they can also work in licensed premises such as bars, clubs, events and festivals, which Security Guards may not be able to work in if alcohol is being served. A Door Supervisor qualification will enable candidates to perform a far wider variety of roles and will greatly increase their chances of finding employment.***
