What is the emergency first aid at work refresher course?
For those who already completed Emergency First Aid at Work training and have obtained a First Aid at Work Certificate, they will need to renew their qualification after 3 years if they still wish to perform first aid activities within the work place.
This 2-day refresher course will cover the basic first aid trainings skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations and will refresh first aid skills already learnt from previous first aid training.
NOTE - It is advisable to attend this refresher course before expiry of certificate to ensure that a workplace is not left with a shortfall of qualified First Aiders. The First Aid at Work Certificate must be in date or not have expired by more than 1 month.
What does the course include?
Being a refresher course, a lot of contents of the training will have been previously covered by delegates. During the emergency first aid at work refresher course, delegates go through basic first aid trainings skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. This includes: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
Relearning these skills is not only a mandatory requirement, but is necessary in maintaining a safe environment in the work place for both people and work colleagues.
