Wonderful experience being trained by…
Asuenimhen Harrison
Nov 06, 2025

"Wonderful experience being trained by Ben McCarty. He knows his job very well. Give us the trainees opportunities to express ourselves, ask questions and respond to them accordingly. But he is sometimes too fast with words that some of us who are not English native speakers sometimes find it a little difficult to follow along. But he’s a great trainer."

Completed the DS Top up course with Get licensed and passed. Adame who trained us was great, very professional and down to earth guy. Even though he’s had various jobs and years of experience in security he just treats you like a equal, no better than anyone attitude which is good. Professional training by trainers who WANT you to pass not a back street company. Will be definitely back again for further training. Thank you.

Getting To Your CCTV Training Course In London-North London

Venue location

Unit 2, Hawthorn Business Park, 165 Granville Road, Childs Hill, London NW2 2AZ

Childs Hill is one of two areas at the south end of the London Borough of Barnet along with Cricklewood which straddles three boroughs. It is 4.2 miles northwest of Euston, bordered by the Hendon Way and Golders Hill Park. An area of historic origin, although it is a late-19th-century suburban development. In terms of how it looks today.

By Train

If you are coming into London on the overland train you can take an Avanti West Coast and arrive at the National Rail station at Euston, the Birmingham train takes one hour and twenty minutes. From there change to the Watford Junction Overground service and alight at Kilburn High Street, a quick bus journey on the 328 towards Golders Green will take you to Childs Hill, where your course is being held. There are alternatives that take the same time and combine trains and buses.

By Taxi

You may want to get a taxi to the training course, choose from local companies such as Cricklewood Carriers Cab Co Ltd Where the staff are extremely knowledgable, and will go the extra mile to attend your needs. Or 21st Century Mini Cabs Cricklewood. Their taxis are punctual, and the price is competitive. The drivers are courteous and professional. You could also go with Silver Express Cricklewood Taxi & Minicabs who come recommended, with an easy to use booking process. They are said to be friendly, helpful, and provide excellent customer service.

By Bus

As mentioned before the 328 bus gets you to near the venue, but you also have the 13 and other services that operate down Finchley Road and will get you to where you need to be, alight at stop L which is at Childs Hill/Cricklewood Lane.

By Road

If coming in from Birmingham follow M6 and M1 to London, then when you get to the Brent Cross Shopping Centre intersection use the right lane to merge onto N Circular Rd./A406. Use the 2nd from the left lane to take the slip road on to Kilburn/Cricklewood. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit, Take the slip road onto Brent Cross Flyover/A41, turn left onto Wayside, then at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Wayside. Turn right onto The Vale and turn left onto Granville Road where your destination is.

Parking

If you happen to be staying at the hotel Cricklewood Travelodge Car Park | APCOA is a good option. Another nearby option to the venue is Broadway Parade Parking. As there aren’t many close to the immediate area options we recommend using the JustPark app and pre-booking, as it is Trustpilot endorsed, and has a number of local suggestions for the area such as Parking on Dunstan Road, NW11.

Walkability

Childs Hill area has a 88/100 Walk Score. We can say that it is totally possible to walk around, but you might not find all the things you need in this quiet residential area of London. There are some restaurants, shops and other essentials. If you fancy a stroll in a green area, however, this is great as you have Golders Green Park right there, and on the other side, past the small zoo there is Hampstead Heath - for miles of rural walking, with lakes, fields, and a lovely cafe/sueum to visit on the way through.

Accommodation

The aforementioned Travelodge London Cricklewood is convenient and for London not overly priced at £61 per night. You get free wi-fi, and they have an on-site restaurant, as well as the parking option. Just around the corner from the course is Hodford Lodge.

Golders Park Hotel is also not too far from the venue and for £54 a night you also get a free breakfast.

Food

You will need to eat on your stay here, so how about we recommend a local eaterie with great Iranian food Tehran Pizza (Cricklewood), open late and great quality toppings; spicy and flavoursome.

Sarang Restaurant is Korean food of an excellent standard and a great culinary experience.

In the area there is rea's place which is a cosy cafe. Plus you can find KFC at Golders Green.
