11 Recognition and management of a range of medical emergencies.

12 Recognition and management of a range of trauma emergencies.

13 The recognition features of sepsis.

What Is The First Person on Scene Intermediate Level 3 Course?

First Person on Scene Intermediate Level 3 is a foundation level course and is the minimum standard for Close Protection Operatives, Community Responders and Ambulance Responders as well as those wishing to gain tier 1 medic employment.

NOTE: This qualification is valid for 3 years. Once the qualification has expired, or due to expire the learner is required to re undertake the course again in order to maintain the qualification. 

What Does The Course Include?

The First Person on Scene Intermediate Level 3 training course include a large amount of scenario-based learning and practice, using casualty scenarios relevant to the firearms team.

The course includes both theoretical lectures and practical sessions, designed to develop as an all-round first responder. The course includes a range of scenarios to prepare you for managing medical emergencies in high risk or hostile environments concentrating on current and operationally effective training based.

NOTE: The course also fulfils the requirements of medically skilled protection and security advisers to manage and deal with medical emergencies whilst deployed in role.

You will get to understand the role and responsibilities of the first person on scene during an emergency incident.



This course would be suitable for the following occupations: Community first responders, Co responder e.g. police, fire and other emergency services, Military, First aid trainers, Security, Close protection, Stewards, Event medical industry, Voluntary sector and Cabin crew.



There are no specific requirements to undertake the course, however it is strongly recommended that learners hold an emergency first aid at work qualification or equivalent and hold a level 1 or above in literacy and numeracy. Learners must also be 18 years of age or older to commence the training.
