The card is valid for one year and cannot be renewed. It is issued on a temporary basis, while a Construction Related QCF qualification is being achieved. It is expected to be replaced by a skilled five-year card on achievement of a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or higher.
Eligibility
Once you have registered for a relevant SVQ or NVQ you can apply for the Experienced Worker Card, which will prove that you are taking steps towards gaining a recognised construction qualification.
To qualify for the CSCS Experienced Worker Card you must have proof of your registration on a Construction NVQ or SVQ (level two or higher) and you should have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test relevant to your trade within the last two years.
