Getting to your training venue in Warrington

Train
The venue in Warrington is easily accessible from three nearby local stations. Any of these stations are very close to the venue.

Bryn Train Station
Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan WN4 0AS, United Kingdom

Garswood Train Station
Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan WN4 0TB, United Kingdom

Earlestown Train Station
Newton-le-Willows WA12 9AU, United Kingdom

From Bryn Train Station, walk around 160 metres to the bus station. Catch the number 22 bus to Park View from Bryn Station (Stop B). Get off the bus after 9 stops which takes about 7 minutes. The venue, the Holiday Inn Haydock M6, J23, is around 965 metres or an 11-minute walk from here. Alternatively, jump into a taxi at the station which will take just 9 minutes and is about 3.8km away.

The venue is also about 4.35km and an 8-minute taxi drive from the Garswood Train Station. If you’ll be coming from Earlestown, the distance is also 4.35km albeit with a slightly shorter time of 7 minutes.

Parking
The Holiday Inn Haydock does offer free parking. Upon entering the hotel, all that’s required is to give your car registration details at the reception desk and you’re good to go.

If you are heading to the centre for some lunch these are some safe and secure car parks:

St. Austin' Lane Car
St Austins Ln, Warrington WA1 1HE

Town Hall Car Park
Sankey St, Warrington WA1 1GP

Retail Park Car Park

Accommodation
If you choose to stay over for the course, then Haydock prices aren’t the cheapest going. The hotel’s proximity to the M6 highway means it’s not the best value option. The Holiday Inn Haydock is a 3-star hotel with a spa and wellness centre, restaurant and bar.

But you can find cheaper options south and west of Holiday Inn Haydock. The Hotel ibis Styles Haydock, The Mercure Haydock Hotel and The Travelodge Haydock St. Helens are excellent value options. The Hotel ibis Styles Haydock even serves a complimentary breakfast. Check out hotel deals here.

Food
While you can grab lunch at the venue, you can find some inexpensive places to eat nearby. However, you’ll need a car for the various eateries. South of the venue, you will find Beechers Haydock where you can get a hot lunch.

If you wish to savour different cuisines, head north where you’ll find an assortment of restaurants. The Baileys Grill and Bar C.I.C has great breakfasts, delicious desserts and tantalising Thai dishes.

Northwest of the venue towards Bryn Station for approximately 3 minutes in a car, you will get to Blend N Shake. Better yet, head east along Bolton Road and there are plenty of cafes to try out. There’s the Bistro, Lily's Farmhouse Kitchen & Carvery, and Reds Cafe & Coffee House. All the cafes serve classic English breakfasts and sandwiches. Plus, some noteworthy cafes you’ll find south of the venue include Deli-licious, The Oven Door Cafe & Sandwich Shop and Crumpets Cafe. These cafes are just 7 minutes from the venue when using a car.
