What documents do I need?

You’ll need valid photo ID (like a passport or driving licence) and proof of your current UK address dated within the last 3 months.

Do I need prior experience?

No experience is required. The SIA training courses covers everything you need to know to get started. For Close Protection training, you may be required to have completed a Door Supervisor course earlier.

How much can I earn?

Most security officers typically earn between £12–£15/hour, with some roles paying up to £4,000/month depending on hours and location.

How long does it take to get started?

Training typically takes 4-6 days. Once you pass, you can apply for your SIA licence and start working in as little as 3–4 weeks.

Completed the DS Top up course with Get licensed and passed. Adame who trained us was great, very professional and down to earth guy.
