CSCS Green Labourer Card

Not sure where to start?
We'll clear it up!

CITB stands for the Construction Industry Training Board and is the industry training board for the UK construction industry.

This course is for anyone wishing to apply for a Green CSCS Labourer Card to be able to work on a UK construction site. The application of the card is included as part of this packaged course.

Anyone applying for a Green CSCS Labourer Card is required to complete the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training Course.

After completing the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training Course and successfully passing a multiple-choice questions examination, candidates will receive a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction green card Environment certificate. They will also be able to hold a Green CSCS Labourer Card.

CSCS Cards are issued as part of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. The scheme aims to increase safety on construction sites and to ensure that those working in the construction industry have the necessary health and safety knowledge. Having a card contributes towards the overall safety and standard of a construction site.

There are here are 12 CSCS cards each with 12 different colours each representing a different meaning and different type of role and authorisation.

All 12 of the CSCS Cards can be found on the construction section under licences on the homepage of Get Licensed.

The CSCS Card is not a legal requirement, but is highly recommended, as many contractors only employ those that have the card. Some construction projects may also have certain conditions regarding CSCS Cards, meaning you will need the card to work at certain sites.

The Green CSCS Card is for you if you wish to work in the construction industry as a labourer or in a similar entry-level position. It is the most common type of CSCS Card.

It takes up to 5 working days for your CSCS card to arrive.

Green CSCS cards are valid for 5 years and must be renewed after this time. Depending on the qualifications that you used, you may need to take some tests again.

Once 5 years have passed and your CSCS Card has expired, you will need to apply for a new one.

This is a CSCS Green Card 1-day course and is required in obtaining a Green CSCS Labourer Card. The application of the Green CSCS Labourer Card is included as part of the on-site course.

At Get Licensed, you can either do the CSCS course online or pick one of the available locations from all over the UK. From London to Sheffield and every other location in-between.

At the end of the Health and Safety Awareness Training Course, applicants will be required to pass a Practical skill assessment, ongoing formative assessment and exam.
